MORGENSTERN EST-IL UN ECONOMISTE AUTRICHIEN ?
The paper is based on three main ideas. First, Morgenstern's early works have been influenced by the philosophical discussions around Vienna, rather than by the Austrian school of thought. Second, following this view, Morgenstern raised the crucial questions set by the forecast of an economic equilibrium, which were the starting point of his connection with Von Neuman. Finally, his contribution to the incipient theory of games led him back to Austrian economic tradition trough an institutional analysis of social phenomena.
