Núcleos productivos en Europa y España. Un estudio a partir de modelos discretos centro-periferia/Productive Nucleuses in European Union and Spain. A study from discrete core-periphery models

El estudio sistemático del modo en que se organizan las relaciones intersectoriales, jerarquías, asimetrías y posiciones relativas de los diferentes sectores productivos, constituye una fuente de información de gran interés. Con esta fi nalidad, la Teoría de Redes Sociales aporta una metodología específi ca que presenta un gran potencial, al permitir simplifi car y describir con detalle las características más importantes de la red de intercambios económicos a la vez que desvela su complejidad y funcionamiento interno logrando poner de manifi esto cómo se desarrolla la actividad económica, sus fortalezas y sus debilidades. En este trabajo se desarrollan los llamados modelos discretos centro-periferia, procedentes de esta metodología, para comparar la estructura productiva de España con la de Europa. Dichos modelos pretenden ser una expresión formal, aplicable al entramado productivo de un país, del paradigma centro-periferia. The systematic study the organization of sectorial relations, hierarchies, asymmetries and relative positions of the different productive sectors is an information source of large interest. With this purpose, the Social Network Theory brings a specifi c methodology with a big potential. It allows simplify and describe the more important characteristics of the economic network with detail. At the same it reveals the complexity and inner performance of the structure. So it gets making clear the development of the economic activity, the strengths and debilities. In this work, the discrete core-periphery models from network theory are developed for comparing the productive structure of Spain to the Europe structure. These models seek to be a formal expression of core-periphery paradigm for the productive network of a country.
