Pathways to sustainable industries : energy efficiency and CO2 utilisation

Projects for Policy (P4P) is a European Commission initiative that aims to use research and innovation (R&I) project results to shape policymaking through evidence-based policy recommendations. This report belongs to this initiative. It provides an overview of the policy context and challenges relating to enabling a low carbon economy. It highlights the specific efforts that need to be pursued by process industries, providing recommendations for policy on the basis of an EU funded project portfolio analysis supported by relevant literature in the field.
