Rujiman, MAFor the importance of the traditional market, it is important to study factors influence the success of the increasing of the traders. For the survive software traditional market, it needs a coordination with any institution in the increasing of market role to support the welfare of traditional trader. This research was conducted at Deli Tua in the location of traditional market managed by Market Office of Deli Serdang regency. The studied traditional market is the traditional market of Deli Tua. In this research, there are 119 traders. The data analysis applied in this research is multi linear (F-test) and t test). The applied method is a descriptive method that describes the researched field.Based on the results of research indicates that traditional market of Deli Tua has a role in the increasing of the income of traditional trader. The traditional trader based on the age has age between 20 up to 30 years old, and based on religion is more of them are Muslim, based on ethnic is more of them are Karo/Dairi ethnic, and based on the original area is more of them comes from Medan and its environs.A correlation between dimension based on the results of regression analysis, capital factor, work hours, work duration, business location and education influence the income of traditional trader significantly at sub district of Deli Tua. Partially, capital, work hours, work duration and business location variables are tested in significant level 1% that indicates the significant influence to the income of traditional trader at sub district of Deli Tua. But the educational level has not a significant influence to the income of the respondent.The existence of traditional market in order to increase the income of trader and the opening of job field is an integrated part of the regional or area development and the mutual cooperation with the related institutions. It hope a role of government in provide the traditional traders with law protection and rule in order to increase the living quality of the traditional trader in addition to provide them with capital loan to enable them develop their business successfully.
