The Northwestern part of Bangladesh has a tremendous variety in geography and means of subsistence. The rangeland resources of this area have been deteriorated as a result of climate change, human influences, a lack of environmental and rangeland legislation, inadequate disaster mitigation plans and poor management. Aside from that, Bangladesh's livestock resources are under tremendous strain due to population increase. For this reason, in this study GIS-Based Multicriteria Decision Analysis and remote sensing techniques have been used to locate ideal land for the production of sheep, goats & cow. The suitability analysis for livestock production took into account eight thematic layers such as soil types, land use land cover (LULC), rainfall, road distance, water accessibility, slope, relative humidity, average temperature. The final map that is ideal for raising cattle has been divided into four categories, such as low, medium, high and excellent. The results of this study demonstrate that just 27.53% of survey area is in an outstanding prospective zone for livestock production, while 11.14% of the study zone’s land is in a low-suitable zone. The study also shows that the western portion of the study area, which includes Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Panchagar, Joypurhat, Naogaon, and Bogra has a low suitability index for livestock production while the eastern region, which includes Nilphamari, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Pabna, and Rangpur, contributes greatly to an excellent zone. The results of this study will be useful in determining the best places for livestock production for future usage
