Public Open Data is a service providing facilitated and harmonised access to datasets created and managed by public bodies across the EU. The overall objective is the improvement of Digital Service Infrastructures and the development of information products and services based on the re-use and combination of data held by public and commercial actors across the EU. Public Data is all the information that public bodies produce, collect or pay for. This information is significant for reuse in new products and services. By opening the public data, participation was promoted among citizens and experts in political and social life.
