Quick appraisal of major project application : dywersyfikacja produkcji poprzez wdrożenie innowacyjnych rozwiązań technologicznych w branży oponiarskiej : 2012PL161PR043 : diversification of production through the implementation of innovative technologies in the tyre industry

The main objective of the "Quick Appraisal" of this large project applying for EU co-financing is to verify how well the project has been planned and whether the application submitted to the Commission is compliant with the requirements established in the relevant regulations governing the use of EU funds. The subject matter of the application is the investment of Bridgestone Poznań Sp. z o.o. involving the establishment of a new production plant in which the new 3rd generation Run Flat Tires for light vehicles will be produced on the basis of modern technological solutions. The project's main objective is product diversification through execution of the new investment. Bridgestone claims it will be possible to achieve that objective through starting the operations of a new Run Flat Tires factory on the site formerly occupied by tire warehouse and moving the existing tire warehouse operations to a new neighbouring location. As a result of the investment, Bridgestone will be able to launch a high quality final product into the market.
