This Research Theme Analysis Report gives an overview of research performed (mostly) in the EU collated by TRIP, providing a view across many projects that fall under the theme title. It provides a robust and thorough assessment of the reported results from the projects and offers perspectives from scientific and policy points of view. For the purpose of this review, the theme of Transport Safety has been divided into four mode-related sub-themes and the assessments performed within each sub-theme and across the complete theme. The sub-themes considered are linked to the transport modes: road; rail; aviation; maritime.
