Role of Communication Medium in Web Based Instructional Environment in Indian Management Education

The primary stakeholders in an education system are teachers, students, and the institutes of higher education. This paper presents the findings of research from the students and teachers of management education and from industry professionals in India. In present research paper the preferred mode of communication in web based instructional environment has been investigated empirically. The study determines the role of communication medium on instructional delivery for higher learning gain. Further, the study analyzes the combination of modes of communication to be used for instructional delivery keeping in view the requirement of higher education in Indian setting. The study revealed that mode of delivery influences the success of web based instructional system and a combination of group based and synchronous mode has higher influence over other delivery media
