Spatial patterns of sectoral shifts in China

According to the authors, sectoral shifts of labour force in China, the socialist country with world's 22 percent of population, dominant state-owned enterprises, strong government control, and large spatial disparities should be different from that in many developing countries. They attempt to reveal national trends of sectoral allocation of labour and products and temporal and spatial patterns of sectoral shifts among the eastern, central, and western regions and among the 29 first-order administrative divisions (provinces) of China.
