Structures of education, vocational training and adult education systems in Europe For anyone trying to understand the general organisation of education systems in Europe, these monographs set out in some 40 pages for each country, full basic and regularly updated information on its own particular system. Devised in accordance with a common framework, they provide conveniently for inter-country comparison. The monographs describe the various levels of education from pre-primary to higher education, and initial vocational training whether provided exclusively in a school or other educational institution, or in the form of alternated work and training. Each level of education has its own concise description concerned primarily with its admissions procedures, duration, curriculum, methods of assessment and teacher training. These monographs have been produced by EURYDICE in close collaboration with the members of the CEDEFOP REFER Network and the national observatories of the European Training Foundation.
