Study to support the preparation of an impact assessment on EU policy initiatives on asset recovery and confiscation : final report for acceptance

This Study is based on a targeted consultation of relevant stakeholders. The issue of freezing and confiscation is a technical and specialised topic which is dealt with by a rather limited number of experts working in this area (namely prosecutors, judges, lawyers, bar associations, officials working in national Ministries of Justice or Interior or Asset Recovery Offices, academia). This Study complements existing sources of information and provides additional data and facts through consultation undertaken with these relevant stakeholders through bilateral interviews, group workshops and expert meetings.
