Technological change and functional income distribution effects in Indian agriculture : an econometric analysis

With the introduction of new production technology in the wheat farming sector in Indian agriculture, a considerable increase in output per acre has been recorded. The author evaluates the functional income distribution effects of new technology in the Ferozepur district/Punjab using J.R. Hick's theory of technological change. Capital as the main variable in causing structural break in wheat production relations. (DÜI-Sen)
