The Industrial Emissions Prevention Process for Continual Reduction of the Contribution of Industry to Global Warming, Climate Change and Poor Air Quality
Global warming, climate change and poor air quality are presently some of the greatest problems confronting the world and humanity. The aforesaid prompted this work to invent the “ Industrial Emissions Prevention Process” for continual reduction of the contribution of industry to global warming, climate change and poor air quality. The research methods applied include mathematical modeling, design, use of published experimental results and questionnaire survey on the production capacities of companies with the aim of providing a solution. Novel mathematical models were invented. Results revealed that pollution load is a qualitative measure of environmental damage (global warming, climate change and poor air quality) caused by process emissions. The novel concept of daily global warming impact measures the daily thermal contribution of a company to global warming and climate change. Results showed that the larger the pollution load of a company’s process emissions, the larger the daily global warming impact and consequently, the larger the thermal contribution to global warming and climate change and vice versa. Results revealed that the larger the pollution load of a company’s process emissions, the larger the contribution to poor air quality and vice versa. Results established that the volumetric rate, mass rate and pollution load of process emissions can be regulated to reduce the pollution load to environmentally-friendly levels alongside the corresponding production rate of finished goods to reduce the contribution of industry to global warming, climate change and poor air quality for better protection of the environment and humanity. The industrial emissions prevention process eliminates the need for process emissions treatment, thus saving cost for industry. It has global applicability
