The influence of transport and reaction processes on the morphology of a metal electrodeposit in thin gap geometry
Implications for the modelling of fractal growth processes are investigated in the context of electrodeposition experiments. Experimental approaches are first reviewed together with current models of electrodeposition. The growth morphology dependence on reaction and/or transport mechanisms is illustrated and the various stages in the experimental recovery of a pure diffusion-limited aggregation process in electrodeposition are delineated.
