The Netherlands and its collaboration with the Joint Research Centre

The JRC has established a strong and productive partnership with the Netherlands in the fields of public and environmental health, governance, electric vehicles, climate change and chemical safety. Through this collaboration, the JRC has worked closely with the Netherlands' national authorities, research institutions and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge, share expertise, and jointly address common challenges. This partnership has led to the development of innovative solutions and the implementation of impactful projects that have benefitted both parties. Regular visits of Dutch partner organisations and institutions to JRC laboratories take place to explore new areas of cooperation and increase collaboration through knowledge exchange and joint programmes. The country also hosts one of the JRC scientific sites in Petten, where more than 250 experts and scientists work in areas such as energy, transport, climate and nuclear research.
