Thesaurus Eurovoc : Volume 3: Multilingual version

We are now presenting the third edition, which incorporates the concepts arising from the European Union, the new dimension of Europe and an increased contribution from its increasingly numerous users. A team of translators and terminologists in the Translation Service of the European Commission in Luxembourg undertook a very substantial job of linguistic revision on Edition 2 before working out the new language equivalents for the third edition. This linguistic revision is intended to allow more consistent use of various language versions. The role of Eurovoc is to be a common denominator between all documentation systems which are involved with the activities of the European Communities and the European Union, whether in the Community institutions, in national or regional bodies or in the private sector.
