Two time scale global dynamical modelling of power electronic systems

Global dynamical models of power electronic systems allow to compute their dynamics in a very easy way as they replace the switching behavior of the power electronic converter by a continuous process [F. Gusia, Dynamic modelling of power electronic converters using a describing function like approach, in: Proceedings of the ELECTRIMACS’99 Conference, vol. 1, Lisbon, Portugal, 1999, pp. 7–14]. But they are unable to predict the ripples induced by the switching behavior of the power semiconductor switches.
