A New Product Driven System Concept for the Replenishment Process
Alfathi, Najlae; Lyhyaoui, Abdelouahid; Sedqui, Abdelfettah - 2015
The product driven system improves the reactivity and flexibility of production systems. However, these requirements … material replenishment system is essential. We present in this paper, the use of product driven system concept for the … role of the product driven system for the control of production. …

Eruptive flow response in a multi-component driven system by an interacting lattice gas simulation
Pandey, R.B.; Gettrust, J.F. - In: Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications 368 (2006) 2, pp. 416-424
An interacting lattice gas model is used to study flow of immiscible components A and B (molecular weights MA and MB,MA<MB) by Monte Carlo simulations. Concentration gradients and hydrostatic pressure bias (H) drive these constituents from their source at the bottom against gravitational sedimentation in an effective medium. Response of their flux densities (jA,jB) to the hydrostatic bias H are examined. If both constituents are released with equal probabilities (a non-interacting source), their flux densities respond linearly to bias with jA>jB except at the extreme bias H→1 where jA→jB. Flow response becomes complex if the constituents from their source are released according to their current lattice...</mb)>

Phase segregation in driven diffusive systems
Braun, O.M. - In: Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications 357 (2005) 2, pp. 350-355
Driven diffusive models describe an array of atoms in an external periodic potential, when the motion is damped due to energy exchange with the substrate. The systems of this class have wide application in modeling of charge and mass transport in solids. Recently, the driven diffusive models...

Structural response in steady-state flow of a multi-component driven system: interacting lattice gas simulation
Pandey, R.B.; Gettrust, J.F. - In: Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications 345 (2005) 3, pp. 555-564
The effects of molecular weights (MA,MB) on the self-organized segregation of immiscible constituents (A,B) driven by pressure bias (H=0.0–1.0) generated by geologic processes are examined by an interacting lattice gas Monte Carlo simulation. Constituents (A,B), released from a source at the...

Spallation reactions and accelerator-driven systems
Slowinski, B. - In: Applied Energy 75 (2003) 1-2, pp. 129-136
The state-of-the-art in the field of neutron and nuclear-fragment emissions from spallation reactions initiated by protons in the GeV energy range with extended heavy targets is discussed. Such reactions are essential for the operation of accelerator-driven systems.
