Eco-economic decoupling, unconventional monetary policy and non-fungible token – new terms to help you with your literature search in the Thesaurus for Economics (STW).
The number of publications on new topics is constantly growing. We include these topics in our specialist search vocabulary – the Thesaurus for Economics (STW). The advantage for you is that you are offered a large number of terms with the same or similar meaning in German and in English as a search entry point. You can start your search from the STW. Broader terms allow you to search more generally and narrower terms help you to refine your search. Related terms show you which other topics and terms you could use for your search.
We have also increased the links to other vocabularies. This gives you even more search options for your search. With the link "from GND" (Gemeinsame Normdatei) you can, for example, see the literature holdings of the German National Library on your topic. With "from Wikidata" you can look up the term in Wikipedia.
For the first time, new terms suggested by language models have been added to the search vocabulary. The language models extract possible keywords from publication titles and abstracts. These keywords are then filtered, the occurrence of the term (overall / in recent years) is determined and the term is reviewed by STW editors.
Also new to the STW are terms from the WBdigital database project, a project in collaboration with the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW).
