2011 EFMD Entrepreneurship Conference - European Foundation for Management Development
Theme: Does Entrepreneurship Matter? A view from Educators, Researchers, Policy makers and Entrepreneurs. Contributions are particularly invited on the following: • Role of teaching: research that investigates the impact of different forms of entrepreneurship teaching, what works in which settings and what doesn’t work. • Policy: What is the impact of existing policies? What are the success factors of policies that work and which are the factors that cause failures? These policies can concern entrepreneurship teaching, support, financing, incubation, etc. • Issues related to coaching and incubation: what works, what is the impact? • Capital: is finance still available? • Green – social entrepreneurs: is a new type of entrepreneurs needed? • Innovation # technology # growth: Innovation is often confused with technological innovation only or with high growth companies. A lot of other types of innovation are possible, e.g. process innovation. Research is invited that explores innovation in the larger sense and that underpins the statement above (innovation # technology # growth).
