28th Annual IAEE International Conference: Globalization of Energy: Markets, Technology, and Sustainability
The year 2005 will be the time to discuss energy issues from global aspects. The abundance of energy resources on the Earth has been a key factor for the rapid development of the world economy and science technology for the past two centuries. But, the over-consumption of energy resources and environmental damage are exaggerating since then. Although much work has been done on them, there is still no sign of relieving the seriousness of the problems. In addition, the booming of communication technology for the recent decades has made the world distance become shorter and thus accelerates the pace of globalization. As a result, the economic, social, and environmental factors of every region in the world are going to be more interactive. Now, the energy and environmental issues are not regional but global.
