2nd Annual Meeting of ERSA Polish Section International Conference & Workshops "From Regional Specialization To Smart Specialization – Theory, Practice, Policy"
The idea of the conference is to present ongoing research on specialization from the perspective of theory, applications as well policy. It is to follow and support the regional policy on every level of implementation. We invite regionalist, statisticians, econometricians, applied scientists, economists etc. to exchange ideas. The idea of the workshops is to discuss the issues of regional specialization: theory, measurement and applications. First part is on definitions, approaches, mechanisms and interpretation trends for regional specialization. Second part presents measures of specialization, concentration and agglomeration with practical application in R software. Main target audience are young regionalists and PhD students. Additionally we will share our experience answering how to publish successfully in scholarly journals.
