Bank notes: distribution, anti-counterfeiting and operations
A primary function of any central bank is to maintain public confidence in the currency. The objective of this workshop is to discuss how the central bank achieves this, including efficient distribution and availability of all denominations, and the physical quality of the notes themselves including anti-counterfeiting measures. It will also discuss where banknote operations should fit within a central bank’s overall structure.
