Conference on Executive Compensation after the Financial Crisis - Center for Corporate Governance
This conference aims to take stock of current research on executive compensation to provide a solid and research based background for these discussions.Topics: - Is there too much or too little regulation of executive compensation? - What determines the level and composition of executive compensation? Is it too high? - Are increases in executive compensation excessive? Will they continue at the same pace? - How is executive compensation influenced by corporate governance and ownership structure? - What is the pay-for-performance relationship - and what should it be? This especially concerns the consequences of poor performance. - How does executive compensation vary across countries and to what extent is it determined by nation effects? - Is there a relation between executive compensation and the performance of firms before and during the financial crisis? - What are the consequences of the increased use of claw back clauses? And of restricted shares instead of stock options?
