Conference on "International Banking: Microfoundations and Macroeconomic Implications"
The Program Committee welcomes papers addressing (but not limited to) the following issues: - Influence of global bank activities on macroeconomic volatility - Role of globally active banks in transmission of shocks - Costs and benefits of regulatory policy, including capital and liquidity requirements - Coordination of regulatory policy making and policy responses - Implications of cross-border banking for monetary policy - Bank market structure and strategic behavior by global banks - Influence of cross-border lending on macroeconomic growth and development - Implications of cross-border bank activity for trade and capital flows - Effects of cross-border activities, complexity, on risk within the bank and systemic risk - Diversification and risk sharing across countries via global banking system - Foreign bank participation and domestic access to credit
