Countdown to 2020. 2010: A decade for a British Renewable Energy Revolution
The UK has signed up to a legally-binding European treaty requiring it to supply 15% of all primary energy from renewable sources by 2020. This is a huge task and the bulk of the burden will fall to the power generation sector, but heat and transport fuels will also have to make a quantum leap in capacities. Chaired by Alan Moore, Former Chair of the Renewables Advisory Board, this conference aims to look at how we can go about meeting the steep targets that have been set by the government.
