International Netspar Pension Workshop - Network for Studies on Pensions, Aging and Retirement

Mariacristina de Nardi (UCL, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, IFS and NBER) and Andrew Ang (Columbia University) will give invited lectures on January 29 and 30. Mariacristina de Nardi will mainly focus on the retirement life-cycle phase and discuss, among others, the effect of medical expenditures and bequest. Andrew Ang focuses on the wealth accumulation phase with special emphasis on illiquid assets and private equity. The Award Ceremony of the Netspar Thesis Awards is scheduled on Wednesday afternoon. Academic sessions are divided over all three days of the workshop.
