Joint 131st EAAE Seminar and 21st Agrarian Perspectives Conference "Innovation for agricultural competitiveness and sustainability of rural areas"
The objective of the seminar is to bring together research on innovation and policies that promote the innovation process and their effect on the competitiveness and sustainability of European agriculture and rural areas. This general objective can be expressed through five specific objectives/ seminar topics: 1. Assessing innovation processes that improve the competitiveness of agriculture and food industry. 2. Assessing the role of innovation in improving the economic viability of rural areas. 3. Assessing the importance of innovation for greening agriculture and environmental conservation. 4. Discussing institutions of innovation. 5. Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of policies promoting innovation (research, transfer of knowledge, investment, education), conflict or complementarity of policies.
