Sciences Po/IZA Workshop: Trust, Civic Spirit and Economic Performance
Recent research has shown that trust and civic spirit influence economic performance, but that economic performance also influences social values. In particular, it appears that civic spirit and trust are essential components of the efficiency of the welfare state. On the other hand, the quality of welfare state also influences civic spirit and trust. The aim of this conference is to discuss the most recent research on the interactions between trust, civic spirit, the quality of institutions and economic performance. Empirical as well as theoretical papers are welcome.
