Spring School "Nonparametric and Semiparametric Econometrics - Theory and Applications"
This spring school deals with recent developments in nonparametric and semi-parametric methods. These techniques are particularly useful to applied researchers who want to impose less restrictive assumptions on the statistical objects of interest. Therefore these methods are useful in situations which (i) one knows little about the functional form of the object being estimated, (ii) the number of variables (covariates) is small, and (iii) the researcher has a reasonably large dataset. This course is suitable for researchers, academics, MA and PhD students and employees of national and international institutions.
