Third RICAFE Conference Entrepreneurship, Risk Capital, and the Financing of Innovative Firms
The organizers invite submission of empirical and theoretical papers on venture capital, private equity, entrepreneurship, the decision to go public, and intellectual property rights. Suitable topics include (but are not limited to): • The choice between alternative sources of financing for innovative firms and their impact on strategic decision in entrepreneurial firms; • Venture capital, its contribution to entrepreneurship, and the determinants of its performance; • The economics of intellectual property rights, their interaction with the legal and institutional framework, and with entrepreneurial risk- taking; • The role and design of financial contracts and of the choice of organizational form in fostering innovation; • The links between entrepreneurship and the stock market; • The economics of the going public process for entrepreneurial firms; • Public incentives for venture capital and the financing of innovation.
