Workshop on Trends and Fashions in Management Studies
“Knowledge Management”, “eGovernment”, “Business Intelligence”, “Balance Scorecards”, “CRM”, “CSR”, "ANT", "neo- institutionalism". What are these: passing fads or future institutions? Paradigm shifts or variations on universal themes? Where do they come from: Management practice, other fields of theory, politics, and popular culture? Why these, and why now? Is management research always following trends, or initiating them as well? This workshop calls for contributions documenting trends and fashions in management theory and practice, interpreting their significance, and commenting on their consequences.
