A Survey of Sentiment Analysis Through Machine Learning for Forecasting Indian Stock Market Trend
Public money is invested in the Indian Stock market through retail investors, Foreign institutional investors, Domestic Institutional investors. In recent times, the participation of retail investors in the Indian stock market has increased significantly. Many times, the investment decisions go wrong due to inaccurate consideration which brings enormous losses to the investors. Retail investors bear the brunt majority due to inadequate information. It is necessary to safeguard the retail investors’ investment and help them to make appropriate decisions.With the technological advancement, whether a machine can think like a human investor and provides its sentiment towards the available financial information and with this sentiment analysis can models be created to help predict the Indian stock market trend.In recent years, technology giants such as IBM, Google, Microsoft, etc. are providing Artificial Intelligence systems that understand the natural language like humans do. IBM Watson Natural language understanding is one such system, which provides sentiment analysis scores with great accuracy based on the information presented to it. Using sentiment analysis and machine learning algorithms prediction models can be created to predict the Indian stock market trend. The prediction models will help the retail investors to take necessary decisions at the appropriate time
