Despite the fact that corporate governance is considered to be the seed of corporate excellence and long term survival, it is still not engrossed in the roots of Indian Inc. It has been over two decades since the first Adrian's code of corporate governance were announced, however the complete synthesis of those codes in the corporate is yet to be seen. Perhaps there is a need to ascertain the evidence of corporate governance codes on the performance of companies, to analyze the lag in the desired framework. The present study attempts to unearth the impact of imbibing the codes and principles of corporate governance, empirically.
