This contribution to an international survey of unfair competition laws provides an overview of the laws relating to unfair competition in India. As opposed to a single source, India has unfair competition laws - in plural - which is permitted by the Paris Convention. A range of statutory actions and torts or equitable wrongs are surveyed, with an emphasis on passing off, malicious or injurious falsehood (which has expanded greatly in the Indian context) and the breach of confidence
