This course covers the most important theories and recent empirical work on labor market effects of immigration, trade, local agglomerations and technology touching on the recent trends in the structure of employment and wages in US and Europe.

This three-lecture course reviews the recent advances in the area of international trade and labor markets. The course introduces the new heterogenous-firms framework, which was recently shown to be fruitful for the analysis of the effects of globalization on labor market outcomes.
