Plenary sessions will be organized around regional resilience and sustainable development, given the challenges facing New Orleans since Katrina and now the Gulf oil spill.

Theoretical and empirical contributions to regional analysis and related spatial and area studies are welcome. Given the location, we are also very interested in studies of cross-border issues.
