John Hooker, Reporter of Judicial Decisions

The article discusses the life and reporter ship of John Hooker, an early Connecticut Judicial Reporter and participant in the Women's Suffrage movement. Hooker was a brother-in-law of Harrier Beecher Stowe and was the founder of Nook Farm, where Mark Twain built a home. The article reviews Hooker's letters to his wife showing his court work and discusses his role in the admission to the bar of the first woman attorney in Connecticut
