The main objective in this research has been developing a performance management model (PMM) for TRM (Pakistan) in Pakistan. The main theme of the model presented in this report will be helping TRM (Pakistan) in terms of their performance and overall productivity in the automobile industry of Pakistan. The author’s proposed model utilizes best business practices and efficient implementation criteria’s. In this report the author has clearly stated the objective of this research and the importance of performance management practices in TRM (Pakistan) while showing the linkage between performance and organizational productivity using different tools and techniques that has been presented in detail in the subsequent chapters of this report. This report has been centered on performance management in TRM (Pakistan). The author’s aim has been to examine how TRM (Pakistan) and other organisations will be effective in achieving success using PM systems. In this report, the author has established the link between PMS, HR and other related managerial activities. The author has been rolling the dice while carefully examining the importance of what, how and why it is important to implement PM system effectively. This research also considers the cause & effects under the limitations umbrella in the automobile industry of Pakistan and went further in analysing management tools, practices and their impacts on financial decisions at TRM (Pakistan). Other important aspects have been explored in the subsequent chapters of this report. In order to investigate effectively, this study has identified different strategies using case study, interview and questionnaires. The author also utilizes statistical and graphical techniques to visualize information in the form of tables, charts and graphs to predict and draw valid conclusions followed by analysing their implications. To fulfill the purpose of this research work the author revises literature on performance management using chronological timelines, geographically, Japanese (JIT & Kaizen), American and UK versions on the subject in identifying main characteristics and basic philosophy behind PMS and their Measurement System link to the propose PM model (Figure 5.1, p. 86) of this report. The main theme and aim of the research has been to make it realized to TRM (Pakistan) that this model will be highly successful under focused targets, performance indicators and conditions set out by every individual, group, team’s and department that will help and strengthen TRM (Pakistan) in terms of their performance and overall productivity. This research work review and explores different researchers and analysts philosophical work on management, performance and its measurement areas that helped the author in finding critical facts in developing his PMS model (Figure 5, p. 63) in this report. This study shows that this PMS (Figure 5, p. 63) will help TRM (Pakistan) in their processes simplification, continuous improvement and mainly TRM (Pakistan) performance and overall productivity. The role of technology and visual management has also been highlighted with respect to TRM (Pakistan) goals and objectives in mind that will sustain any future progression and development in the whole automobile industry of Pakistan. The author concluded that it is vital for every industry, organisation of Pakistan particularly in the automobile industry to evolve in the field of performance management that interlink, support and involves production, operations and management practices. The key feature of this research work is the identification of the weaknesses of TRM (Pakistan) in terms of its performance management and recommendation of a Performance Management Model (PMM) which will enable TRM (Pakistan) to improve its performance and overall productivity
