A Dynamic SLA Aware Solution for IaaS Cloud Placement Problem Using Simulated Annealing

The Virtual Machine (VM) placement problem in IaaS cloud computing is well studied in the literature. However the majority of the existing works ignore the dynamic nature of the incoming stream of VM deployment requests from cloud customers that continuously arrive to the cloud provider infrastructure besides Simulated Annealing power isn’t examined in solving placement problem. In this paper, we provide an efficient method for placement management in an IaaS cloud which is under a stream of requests and present a novel technique called DSAP that projects the past demand behaviour of a VM to a candidate target host using Simulated Annealing. We exploit the DSAP technique in two phases, first for handling the stream of deployment requests, second in a periodic optimization, to handle the dynamic aspects of the demands. The result shows that the suggested method does an efficient placement with a low demand dissatisfaction, which can be stated in SLA
