A fuzzy approach to innovation in tourism clusters using Galois group theory
Tourism plays a decisive role in the development of cities and regions, however increasing competition between touristic destinations, globalization and new trends produce novel challenges to decision and policy makers. A methodological structure towards grouping diverse highlights of the city of Morelia, Michoacán – México using Galois Group Theory and Fuzzy Logic is proposed. Results conclude that products with different characteristics, properties and peculiarities can be grouped over a structured and visual technique. The originality of the study relies on the capacity and flexibility of the model to group different highlights under subjective and uncertain conditions.
