A GMM Based Quick Assessment Methodology to Compare Solar and Wind Energy

Increasing awareness on environmental and socio-economic impact along with risks associated with conventional energy sources have led to a shift in the energy mix of different countries towards greener alternatives. Different renewable technologies are competing for scarce resources and for policy support from government. A strand of literature has just started to focus on comparison of different renewable sources. The paper offers a quick comparison of solar and wind sources on the dimensions of economy and environment.
