A Guide on Quantitative Research Paradigms, Theory, and Frameworks in Social Sciences Research
This review helps to familiarize students with research approaches, worldviews, and concepts of theory/variables in research. Thus, supporting scholarly literature in the social sciences research contributes to existing knowledge on the meaning of research paradigms, theory, and framework in quantitative studies, and more importantly, distinguishes between them in a study of Empirical Research. The primary aim is to help the readers develop a firm grasp of the meaning of these concepts and how they should be applied in academic research discourses. This review article exemplified confirmatory/exploratory research and theoretical/conceptual frameworks, distinguishing between the three approaches of research, philosophical worldview specification, and flow of quantitative research. The article serves as a guide/recommendation for masters/Ph.D. students who wish to use a quantitative research approach in their studies. In this review, the authors take proper care to achieve the following objectives: Familiarize students with research approaches, worldviews, and concepts of theory/variables in research, provide students with an understanding of the vital components of quantitative research, and acquaint young undergraduates, and masters, degree students with the structure of social sciences research
