A hybrid/analog-digital one-parameter optimizer

In this paper the author examines whether it is possible to determine, with the aid of an analogue computer, simulating a system the best method to locate automatically the optimum value, provided such a value exists, of a parameter influencing in an undetermined way the behaviour of this system.
