A Methodology for Comparing Military Potentials: the Case of Combat Aircraft / in "Military Technological Innovation and Stability in a Changing World"
The presented assessment method has been used both for military and civil technologies (aircraft, cars, machines for pipeline construction, etc.). In the author's opinion, it can be utilized for preliminary assessing the offensive/defensive capabilities of the main types of weapon systems (tanks, artillery, missiles, ships, military vehicles, etc.). In particular, it may, as a whole, be a useful instrument for the preliminary assessment of military potentials in dangerous regions, thus supporting the monitoring of armament developments and suggesting measures for enhancing stability in those regions.
