A Model of Buddhist Learning Automata for Mind Purification

Rooted in a lack of a model of Buddhist learning and meditation that shares closed-loop systems dynamics configuration and concept that scientists and the Western literatures are familiar with, this research deduces one by integrating the concepts of Buddhist epistemologies, and fundamental socio-psychological theory known as SOR (Stimulus-Organism-Response). In doing so, the proposed model contributes to the literature of consumer and brand psychology, social sciences and management, with a Dharma controller in the functioning of SOR. Empirical data were also derived from the interviews, focus group discussions, observations and the actual practices of the author, which provide some of the rich illustrations to the model of Buddhist learning automata for mind purification
