A Study of Workplace Stress and the Stifling Productivity of Teaching Faculty of B-Schools of NCR Region

Stress is an universal element and persons from nearly every walk of life have to face stress. Employers today are critically analyzing the stress management issues that contribute to lower job performance of employee originating from dissatisfaction & high turnover ultimately affecting organizational goals and objectives. How stress affects employee performance, managerial responsibility & consequences high stress are basic aims of the study now-days. Stress has become major problem for employer particularly in developing nations where the employer doesn’t realize the impact of stress on employee performance. Occupational stress is one of the most significant workplace health hazards which is faced by the workers today. Research repeatedly reveals that prolonged exposure to certain job demands can lead to a variety of pathological outcomes. With this background, the researchers made an attempt to study the stress on the teaching faculty in Private Management Education Schools of NCR Region, Greater Noida, NCR. This is an empirical study based on survey method. By adopting convenience sampling, 200 Respondents (Teaching Faculty) i.e. Ishan Institute of Management & Technology, Rakshpal Bahadur Management Institute, Innovative college of Management & Technology, IIMT Greater Noida , NCR, were selected for this study. Stress relief techniques will improve the service quality and reduce the stress of select Private Management Institutes.
