A study on Electrostatic Solitary Wave Structures In a Semiclassical Plasma

Using the Quantum Hydrodynamic model which is a extension of classical fluid model in this paper the linear and non linear characteristic have been investigated both numerically and analytically for a unmagnetized collision less semi-classical plasma having two components. This study reveals how streaming motion leads to distinct modes. Though in linear dispersion relation, the effects of quantum parameter, temperature ratio and mass ratio small but can be observed. To study the nonlinear behavior Korteweg de Vries is obtained using reductive perturbation technique taking into both classical and quantum mechanical effects. It is shown that both compressive and rarefactive types of solitons can exist. The structures of solitary waves are dependent on the mass ratio, temperature ratio and quantum diffraction parameters
