A Study on the Impact of Emotional Intelligence of Employees on Organizational Effectiveness in IT Industry with Special Reference to Chennai City

Emotional intelligence is a set of qualities and competencies that cover a broad collection of individual skills and characters, usually referred to as soft skills or inter and intra-personal skills, that are outside the traditional areas of specific knowledge, general intelligence and technical or professional skills. The present study addresses such a novel area and attempts to find out how far the organization would be able to identify emotional intelligence of the employee’s and relate it to their performance on the job.
